The Day School of Astoria is proud to offer NYC Department of Education 3-K for All, providing children with a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment as they take their first steps into early childhood education.
Our program uses the Creative Curriculum, a research-based approach that supports the whole child through meaningful, hands-on experiences that encourage curiosity, independence, problem-solving, language development, social-emotional growth, and early academic skills.
Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to meet children where they are while fostering a strong foundation for future learning. Children’s development and learning experiences are aligned with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework (ELOF), supporting key areas of development including approaches to learning, social-emotional development, language and literacy, cognition, and perceptual, motor, and physical development.
At The Day School of Astoria, we believe that young children learn best through play, exploration, relationships, and hands-on experiences. Our goal is to create a classroom community where every child feels supported, confident, and excited to learn.
